EHCP Help in Hertfordshire
Hertfordshire County Council manages the local EHC needs assessment and EHCP process. Families and eligible young people can request an assessment, while school SEN Support can continue without an EHCP.
Requesting an EHC needs assessment
Hertfordshire’s official guidance says a request can be made using its standard forms and explains the evidence that may help. The council’s Statutory Assessment Team oversees the process. Read the current council page before submitting because forms and arrangements can change.
Check your indicative EHCP timeline
Use the date Hertfordshire received the request to view indicative 6-, 16- and 20-week points. The tool is guidance only and cannot decide whether a statutory exception applies.
Free information and advice
